The new film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
It is the only novel written by English author Emily Brontë.
First published in Protected content the pseudonym Ellis Bell, it later received a posthumous second edition edited by her sister Charlotte. The story follows two families of the landed gentry living on the West Yorkshire moors—the Earnshaws and the Lintons—and their turbulent relationship with Heathcliff, the Earnshaws’ foundling and adopted son. Influenced by Romanticism and Gothic literature, the novel is considered a classic of English literature.
