Kent Monkman Guided Tour – Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
Join me for a special cultural outing at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for a guided tour of the powerful and thought‑provoking exhibition by Kent Monkman, one of Canada’s most celebrated contemporary artists.
Monkman is a Cree artist whose work has shaped conversations about Canadian history, Indigenous identity, and reconciliation. Through large‑scale paintings, installations, and his iconic alter ego Miss Chief Eagle Testickle, he reinterprets familiar historical scenes from an Indigenous perspective that has long been overlooked. His art is bold, emotional, sometimes humorous, and always deeply meaningful — a fascinating entry point for anyone curious about Canada’s cultural landscape and its colonial past.
We’ll join the English guided tour at 5:15 pm, included free with museum admission. A French tour is also available at 5:45 pm.
Everyone will purchase their own ticket directly from the museum at the reduced rate of $15.50 (regular price: $31). Tickets go quickly, so I encourage you to secure yours soon: Protected content Once you’ve booked, please let me know I can keep track of who’s joining and share our meeting point.
After the tour, anyone interested is welcome to join me for a bite nearby — a great chance to chat, connect, and share impressions.
Whether you’re new to Montreal or simply looking for an inspiring evening, this is a wonderful opportunity to discover one of Canada’s most influential artists. Let me know if you’ll join!
