Synopsis: VIRUS (Fukatsu no Hi, "Day of Resurrection"), a film by Japanese director Kinji Fukasaku, Protected content . Adapted from a novel by Sakyo Komatsu, this science fiction film tells the story of a monstrous pandemic that devastated humanity due to the accidental release of a virus developed for biological warfare. The Protected content settle in Antarctica attempting to repopulate the planet.
Chile had a brief but significant role in the film due to its presence in the Antarctic territory. The movie was production between Japan and USA so it had well known names from that time like George Kennedy, Glenn Ford, Chuck Connors and Olivia Hussey among others. Consul Yuki´s Mother participated as the translator for the movie in the Antarctica region, and she will be present at the screening if you have some questions or want to know more about the experience.
