Exploring Central London Cityscape
Many elements of our surroundings are the result of artistic capability and scientific knowledge. Architecture represents an example where art meets science. Indeed, artistic capability is required in order to design buildings that are aesthetically pleasing, and scientific knowledge, such as statics (the branch of mechanics that deals with bodies at rest or forces in equilibrium), is required to ensure that buildings are solid and functional.
Painting and sculpture are in constant evolution, and this is also true for architecture. The style and material used to construct a build often reflect the culture and history of particular civilization. Protected content
