"Brighton Beach" at America’s Movie Industry Birthplace

Brighton Beach: A Hidden Gem of NYC Film History.
Join us at the Protected content for a special screening of Brighton Beach, a recently rediscovered and restored documentary capturing the soul of Brooklyn’s Russian-Jewish enclave, “Little Odessa.” Blending rare archival footage with new cinematography, the film is a loving portrait of a resilient community that has resisted gentrification.
🎬 Featuring a post-screening Q&A with co-director Susan Wittenberg.
After the screening, you can join us for an optional group dinner at a nearby Korean BBQ spot ... a relaxed way to connect with fellow film lovers.
We’ll also have a few minutes before or after the screening to explore the Classic Film Posters from The KONSTANTINO SPANOUDIS IKON Collection inside the Film Center.
Presented by the Protected content - a not-for-profit cultural institution celebrating cinema’s past and future through curated screenings, dynamic events, and Fort Lee’s legacy as the Birthplace of the American Motion Picture Industry.
