In Philip Roths novel from Protected content get an insight in the domestic politics of the USA leading up to their part-taking in WW II. This is fiction but the story is still relevant in Protected content USA now has a populist president, who is consolidating power and is negative to immigration.
Well written with an intriguing story and with strong parallels to todays society, this book makes for a great reading and discussion.
