A Leisurely Ramble and Lunch in the Czech Countryside

Join us for a Protected content walk in the Czech countryside south of Prague. For this walk we will slow down so we can delight in all the Czech spring has to offer. We can explore the town of Votice before starting the walk. Then we will meander through small villages, fields, and forests. The walk has many interesting historical markers, so be sure to bring your translators. Along the way we can have a picnic snack and take photos. Finally we will go to a well-known guesthouse in the area for a late lunch.

We will meet at the bus station in Roztyly and take a one-hour bus ride to the start of the walk.

The trail is a mix of quiet country roads (paved) and dirt trails. It is mostly uphill with a total gain of about Protected content . The last two kilometers are all downhill. Sturdy, comfortable, closed-toed walking shoes are a must. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks to sustain you until lunch at 15:00. Much of the walk is not shaded, so be sure to bring sun protection.
