Paddleboard or Kayak Standley Lake
This is a great place even if you are a beginner.
WHAT TO BRING:
1a) Your own SUP/Kayak/whatever vehicle you can use (no powered vehicles allowed).
1b) Rent a kayak or SUP at Protected content
2) Life jacket as this is required. Wind can come up unexpectedly and you can be knocked off your board. I do have 3 extras, so let me know if you need one....
3) Whistle is recommend and required at some sites. I have extra whistles to give out.
4) If you have a SUP, I HIGHLY recommend having a leash on it. Especially if you aren't wearing your life jacket. Weather is unpredictable and an inflatable can literally blow away in Protected content winds. I have seen it!
5) A sunglass neck strap, so your glasses don't sink if you slip and fall on a SUP.
6) Other items--
· Snacks!
· Water as it can get hot!
· Sunscreen
· Towel
· Sandals, boat shoes, etc. are highly recommended as there are some rocks in the water and we will probably be beaching a couple times. When on the water, I take mine off and strap to my board.
· Camp chair or something to sit on
