Royal Arch Trail β Boulder
A 3.3-mile out-and-back hike with 1,391 feet of elevation gain, rated Hard. Starting near Baseline Road at Chautauqua Park, the trail climbs through pine forest and dramatic rock formations toward Royal Arch. Expect a steep ascent with many stairs, but spectacular views of the Flatirons and Boulder Valley make the effort worthwhile.
Bring: sunscreen, electrolytes, plenty of water. And if a little rain is in the forecast, those who are afraid of getting wet may want to skip it. π β οΈ π§
