The exhibition is dedicated to the theme of the devil. The devil has traditionally been understood as God’s eternal adversary and, by extension, the enemy of humankind. Beyond religious doctrine, however, he can also be seen as a mirror of humanity itself. Since time immemorial, human existence has been shaped by a fundamental tension: the striving toward the divine and the simultaneous descent into the abyss of our own darker nature—evil.

This duality gives rise to the devil as the antithesis of God. For centuries, he has inhabited art, mythology, literature, and film—fascinating, terrifying, and iconic. Yet today, the devil appears less visible. He has transformed, dissolving into the structures of society, politics, history, and everyday life.

The devil is no longer merely a figure, but a presence—palpable, pervasive, and often invisible. He invites us to rethink and reimagine him: not as a singular being, but as a feeling, an idea, a force—manifesting across all forms of expression and media.

Please join us for the vernissage!
