Timothée Chalamet spent five years learning to play the guitar and harmonica for his role as Bob Dylan. The training was not in vain: Chalamet performs over 40 songs in A Complete Unknown, and each interpretation is more impressive than the last.
Directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line), the film chronicles the early stages of Dylan's more than 60-year career. The musician, known for his intelligent and timeless lyrics, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, has served as an inspiration to the Beatles and is still active.
“A Complete Unknown is utterly fascinating, capturing a moment in time when songs had weight, when they could move the culture -- even if the singer who made them was as puzzling as a rolling stone.”
– Mark Kennedy, Associated Press
