Join us for the 3rd session of the Protected content
We are excited to have renowned Bharatanatyam guru Ms M.S.Srilakshmi as our speaker this time and she will be sharing about visual / non-verbal communication in Bhanatanatyam, through body movements, facial expressions and hand gestures. The talk will feature a Q&A and end with a collaboration fusion performance with composer-pianist Tze Toh.

We will meet straight at the venue (TBC), and proceed to dinner and drinks nearby after the talk.

About M.S.Srilakshmi:
Renowned Bharatanatyam performer, teacher , choreographer
M.S.Srilakshmi is a 'Danseuse par Excellence', versatile choreographer and reputed Guru of Bharatanatyam.

She has turned into a phenomenon in the Indian classical dance arena spanning over three decades of her career. She has over Protected content to her credit.

She is a student of Sangeetha Nataka Academy Awardee late Guru Smt Narmada of Bangalore, India. With a diverse background, she has completed Vidwat (proficiency) examination in Bharatanatyam with Distinction and also recipient of Merit Scholarship from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Merit scholarship from Sangeetha Nruthya Academy, Karnataka in the field of Dance.

She is a graded artiste of Doordarshan and has won 1ST PLACE in ALL INDIA MUSIC AND DANCE COMPETITIONS. She is also a recipient of Nrithya Shiromani Award, awarded at the International Music and Dance Festival, Odisha , India and the prestigious ARYABHATA INTERNATIONAL AWARD for 2 years, Kannada Seva Ratna Award and Adarsha Shikshaka Ratna Award from renowned organisations in India.

She has also acted in telefilms and soap operas in Doordarshan, India. In addition she has also performed Solo for the prestigious National Tourism Board, India .

She is the Founder of Natyaranjini, Centre for Dance Excellence, an institution dedicated to impart focused training in Bharatanatyam in Singapore.

She has choreographed dance for the prestigious Chingay parade at Singapore. She has Performed consistently for National Heritage Fest Singapore, organized by the National Heritage Board. As part of Multi Racial Cultural events, she has collaborated with various Chinese and Malay Choreographers for joint dance productions. She was associated with an International School and Cultural Centre for a decade in Singapore.
She has also trained students who have won several prizes at National level dance competitions in Singapore and India . She has been teaching students from Singapore, Malaysia, India and various other cultures.
