Villa Del Carbón Magical Town
Villa del Carbón, State of Mexico, is a Pueblo Mágico (designated in Protected content Otomí origin, established in the colonial era of the 18th century for the production of charcoal. Initially known as Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia, its current name comes from its main historical mining/commercial activity. Today, it stands out for its colonial architecture, leather crafts, and dams such as Taxhimay ancient submerged village. It is known as the world capital of charro boots, with a notable production of leather and wool items.
