Exhibits:

Features powerful installations by artists from across Houston, Texas, presented inside the seven historic art houses that form the heart of this beloved Third Ward institution. This Exhibits showcases the work of seven visual artists, each offering deeply personal and engaging pieces that reflect their artistic journeys. Exhibits, will focus on artists freedom to create work that speaks directly to their practices and experiences. The result is a dynamic, multifaceted exhibition that invites visitors to explore each house as a unique and meaningful encounter.

PRH was Founded in Protected content Artist and Community Activist Rick Lowe along with
James Bettison ( Protected content ), Bert Long ( Protected content ), Jesse Lott, Floyd Newsum, Bert Samples, and George Smith.
They sought to establish a Positive, Creative and Transformative presence in this Historic Community.

Inspired by both American artist
Dr. John Biggers and the German artist Josef Beuys, PRH is a unique experiment in activating the intersections between Art,
Historic Preservation, Community Relations and Development, Neighborhood Revitalization, and Human Empowerment.
