Steam Train and Boat Experience

We shall begin our day in Enkhuizen, where you shall step aboard a classic ferry ‘Friesland’ for a trip across the IJsselmeer from Enkhuizen to Medemblik.

After a 1 hour break; enough time to explore the town, we shall take a journey into the past and travel by steam train from Medemblik to Hoorn.

In historic carriages, pulled by a real steam locomotive, we will travel past historic stations.

At the train station in Hoorn you will experience the story of the steam tram in the Netherlands.

There is catering on the train, you can enjoy a delicious local beer or something else refreshing.

Carpooling will be organised.
This activity will be taking place in conjunction with the Amsterdam Extreme wkend.
If you are only joining for this activity, please let me know so that I can make sure that enough people are interested in driving there and back in the same day.

Seeing as the itinerary doesn’t end in the same place that it begins, we shall leave some cars in Hoorn and continue on to Enkhuizen; that way we can get everyone back to their respective vehicles.

We shall go for lunch afterwards; either in the vicinity or somewhere on the way back to Belgium.
