A Journey of Light: From Futurist Balla to the Castle of Soragna
9:15 a.m. – Meeting point at ENI, behind the Bus Station, Viale Masini 1/3.
9:30 a.m. – Departure for Parma.
11:00 a.m. – Visit to the exhibition at Palazzo del Governatore, dedicated to Giacomo Balla (Turin, Protected content Rome, Protected content , one of the main protagonists of Italian Futurism.
12:30 p.m. – 15-minute walk through Parma’s porticoes and historic streets, showcasing the city’s architecture and the refined elegance typical of Emilia’s art cities.
The route includes the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and La Pilotta — a monumental complex comprising the Teatro Farnese, the National Gallery, the Archaeological Museum, and the Palatina Library.
1:00 p.m. – Lunch at Ristorante La Pilotta, located inside the historic Hotel Stendhal (menu attached).
2:40 p.m. – Departure for Soragna (approx. 35 minutes).
3:30 p.m. – Start of the guided tour of the Rocca di Soragna, built in Protected content the marquises Bonifacio and Antonio Lupi, who had received the feudal investiture of the territory from Emperor Charles IV in Protected content a power they retained until the Napoleonic suppressions.
4:45 p.m. – Departure for Bologna.
