Group Dialogue on Leadership and Personal Development
As requested by several InterNations friends, I’m hosting a dialogue about leadership and personal development. This is an invitation to have the simplest of conversations, like the olden days when people got together with no political agendas, no movies, no cellphones and simply shared thoughts and spent time together to talk about meaningful topics.
To make this valuable please send a note either to me or on the feed on a question you are interested in talking about. Some examples of questions:
How does one learn to lead a team and what practices are helpful? Why is it important to work on emotional intelligence? Why do people think authenticity is really the goal of leadership?
Over the next week as I get responses, I’ll take that feedback and formulate the topic of the dialogue and send out something to read.
The format is set around the practice of Dialogue:
For those of you who are curious what “Dialogue” is, Dialogue is really the lost art of being together, sharing some drinks and snacks and talking about different topics. “It’s the embrace of different points of view— literally the art of thinking together.” Different from a discussion, that attempts to find a solution to a problem, in dialogue there is no effort to get to the right solution, instead to share thoughts in the spirit of having a fun and interesting conversation.
What to bring: bring a drink and a snack to share with others in the group, and of course your curiosity ready to have a good time!
