Holiday Hike to Cabeza Cerugea
In an attempt to make amends for last time—when I finished up doing the hike alone—I have decided to repeat the hike I (badly) organized almost exactly one year ago, in the vicinity of Madrid’s largest reservoir, El Embalse de El Atazar. It is a circular route of some 15 km (and Protected content desnivel), beginning and ending in the village of El Berrueco, passing by la Atalaya del Berrueco (an ancient Muslim watchtower) and with its highest point at the peak of Cabeza Cerugea ( Protected content ).
As usual, remember to bring plenty of water and some food to share with the guide, and to wear/bring suitable clothing, including boots and waterproofs.
Finally, note that:
*** Everybody who walks with the Madrid Explorers Group does so at their own risk. Outdoor activities have risks and can at times be challenging. Any indication given as to the difficulty level of a given hike is provided only as general guidance. ***
