Francophonie Film Festival 2026: Opening Night
The Francophonie Film Festival is back and opens at Lighthouse Cinema!
As part of the Francophonie Festival in Ireland Protected content to mark the annual celebration of French language and cultural diversity,lets enjoy the entertaining evening at the Light House Cinema featuring the Irish Premiere screening of the film 'Breathing Underwater' (Hors d'haleine) by Luxembourgish film director Eric Lamhène, followed by an international buffet with culinary specialities from participating Embassies.
This film will open the Francophonie Film Festival and mark International Women's Day.
Emotionally raw, empathetic, and intensely honest, this deeply moving and ultimately cathartic drama is a display of women’s strength.
