2 days in "The highest village in Europe"*

*Highest year-round inhabited settlement in Europe.
Hi Walkies,
Planning this as 2 days on snowshoes, and guessing how will the weather be... How will the snow be? Who knows, but let's hope for the best! Sign up fast, space is limited. However....there is another hotel less than 2 km down the road in case you decide late.
Day 1: Shorter, easier walk, to warm up. We'll meet for coffee/WC at a restaurant in Cresta, then walk in the forest, along the Averser Rhein river. It is also known for its spectacular ice stalactites on the cliffs of the canyon (if they don't melt....) Then, drive up to Juf to the hotel. Protected content
Distance: 5.4 km
Uphill/downhill: 300m
Day 2: With 2 shorter/easier options.
We start directly from the hotel, up to Stallerberg, with a great view towards Piz Julier and down at the Avers valley, and from there, up to Uf da Flüe, 2,775m, with spectacular panorama, including the Bernina. Easier options include only part of the uphill, or just walking along the valley above Juf.
Distance: 8.2 km.
Uphill/downhill 670m.
***Important:*** Signing up is not enough. Each is responsible for their own reservation. Info in the comment below.
See y'all,
DJ
