Qantara: Between the Two Shores of the Mediterranean

Dear All,
I would like to invite you to join me for an incredible evening where we can enjoy each other's company while traveling through the melodies and rhythms that follow one another, whispering poems of love and life to us and showing how Arab-Andalusian and flamenco have nourished and enriched each other for centuries.
On stage, six artists—two dancers and four musicians—weave a vibrant dialogue between their voices, gestures, and sensibilities. Together, they build a bridge between the two shores of the Mediterranean, uniting traditions from the Maghreb, the Middle East, and Andalusia.
Not a simple fusion, but a profound connection: flamenco, listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO, Protected content , bears witness to the contributions of Gypsies, Arabs, and Berbers. Part of this rich Andalusian heritage crossed the Mediterranean, influencing music such as Gharnati and Malhoun.
The artists, navigating between the two shores, offer us unique interpretations of founding songs and melodies, reaffirming the unity and shared richness of these cultures.
I look forward to seeing you there.
