Improve your Storytelling Skills
Back by popular demand, let's do it again! Note that the 18:00 starting time is CET.
Most people like to tell stories. How many stories have you told in your life? In the past month?
As for the benefits of telling a good story -- well, if you can't think of any, then improvisational narration is probably not for you. Feel free to memorize an anecdote or a fairy tale. Or, add a story to your presentation at work. Even better: make your presentation into a story, and your audience will be hanging on your every word!
My job (presentations trainer) has included creating and telling stories for years, and recently I decided to expand that focus to general storytelling, a skill that seems to be in high demand.
Everyone is requested to bring one Protected content story (or joke, if you must) in English. It can be true, made up, or anything. But no reading verbatim please! It is possible to read a story without sounding like you are reading -- we can practice that if you like. After each turn, we will have a round of feedback (+/- 5 minutes) to hopefully improve your story and/or how you tell it.
Get out of your comfort zone in a safe environment of fellow storytellers! Please have camera enabled, so our playing field is equal.
The Zoom invitation and password will be posted before the event. If anyone has objections to Zoom, we will use Webex.
