Let's Visit Giacometti Exhibition
"On the occasion of the “100 Years of Surrealism” anniversary, the exhibition shows Giacometti's works from this creative phase, which is characterized by his interest in exploring the unconscious, the themes of sexuality and violence, and the ambivalence of symbols. The exhibition examines the extent to which surrealist motifs can be recognized in Giacometti's artistic work, even after his break with the movement in Protected content , right through to his post-war sculptures. In addition, it also takes a look at the friendly and artistic connection between Giacometti and Max Ernst for the first time: both of them met in Paris in Protected content , worked in neighboring studios and remained friends afterwards."
