To thrive and in many cases to survive individuals, businesses and institutions must incorporate cultural sensitivity and skills into their relationships, strategies and structure. By focusing on the cultural roots of national cultures and behavior in society, we can better understand others, build better connections, avoid conflicts, misunderstandings and foresee with accuracy how others will react and respond to us. Understanding other cultures builds bridges, it is the fastest way to get the world closer together. Through understanding, people will be able to see their similarities before differences.

This session on intercultural understanding and values will be divided in two parts. The first part will present a global typology and classification of the world’s cultures based on universal values. This well recognized typology is being taught in more than Protected content worldwide.

The second part will dive into the heart of my native country, France, its rich cultural heritage, and the fascinating ways in which France is viewed around the world. We will examine stereotypes, realities, misconceptions and explore how French culture influences and is influenced by global perspectives.

This session is an open discussion and an opportunity for a fruitful cultural exchange and to learn from each other. You are cordially invited to a fascinating journey into the rich and diversified world of cultures.
