Embark on an interpretive walk that merges the rich biodiversity of the Mantagua Wetland with the immensity of the main dune field in central Chile. This low-intensity trek will allow you to discover contrasting landscapes and unique points of interest on the central coast.
Activity Details:

Total Distance: Approximately 12 km
Estimated Duration: 6 to 8 hours including active walking, time for observation and rest.

Difficulty: Low, suitable for most travelers with a good physical condition.
Terrain: Mixed (dirt trails, loose sand, coastline, train line).
Best Season: Year-round, although it is recommended to avoid days of extreme heat or bad weather.
Proposed Itinerary:
Start in Mantagua :

Transition to the Dune Field:
As we advance north, the landscape changes dramatically, moving from dense vegetation to the imposing sand dunes. Here we will walk through the southern dune field, the most extensive in the area. The panoramic views from the top of the dunes are ideal for photography.
Train Line:

A unique section of the route includes walking along the train line, an uncommon sight that adds an interesting and picturesque element to the journey. Caution must be exercised in this area.

Coastline and Ritoque Beach:
Finally, the route takes us to the edge of the sea, walking along the long, open Ritoque Beach.

We will return using the similar or simpler route.
