Celebrate Africa Day 2026
Africa Day is an annual celebration of the people, cultures and potential of the African continent. It is celebrated around the world, each year on the 25th of May.
Africa Day returns to Dublin’s Protected content this year as part of a nationwide programme of events to mark the day.
The flagship event will be held in Protected content on the 17th of May. This special event is a free public event, with lots of food, fashion, music, art, dance, and other fun activities.
Musicians, dancers and cultural groups will gather to celebrate and highlight the diversity of African cultures and Ireland’s growing links with the continent.
