This English-speaking guided walking tour will take us on a journey through time, unveiling the city of Lisbon during the Age of Discoveries. We will step back into the 15th and 16th centuries, when Lisbon was a vibrant crossroads of cultures, commerce, and innovation.

As we walk through the heart of old Lisbon, we will uncover the daily lives of its inhabitants: Christians, Moors, and Jews, who coexisted in an atmosphere of relative peace and tolerance until Protected content . Together, we will explore key moments in Portuguese history, challenge preconceived ideas, and listen to the voices of the past. Who were the Jews of Lisbon? How did they contribute to the splendor of the kingdom and its empire? What traces of Lisbon's Jewish heritage remain today?

Our route will take us through the city's former Jewish quarters, from Rossio to Alfama, in a journey filled with extraordinary stories, overlooked narratives, and hidden legacies. More than just a historical tour, this experience is an act of remembrance, an invitation to preserve memory and uphold the truth of Lisbon's Jewish past.

Excerpts from the novel by Richard Zimler will be read.
