Let's Enjoy A Theatre Evening

To refresh these summer days, I propose to watch next week one of the most famous plays by the great Spanish author Federico García Lorca, "La zapatera prodigiosa" (The prodigious shoemaker).
With ten artists on stage, the play recreates the story of La Zapatera, the character immortalised by the poet from Granada who symbolises the free spirit of women. She represents all the women of the world and also the human soul. For this reason, ‘the farce, at its heart, is a great drama’, explained Lorca about his work. ‘Prodigiosa refers to the marvellous, to that which encloses a mystery, to the excellent and exquisite of being, of the human soul’. In this play, Federico portrays the prodigy that at that time, a woman decides for herself and does not allow herself to be governed by gossip.
Everyone buys his own ticket. My ticket is in row 3, seat 24 in PLATEA.
We will meet at the theatre door at 19.45h and when the play is over we can have a drink in the area to comment the play and catch up.
