English get together - changed activity and location
We are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Dr. Mark Schmidt, a psychiatrist and senior clinical researcher for Janssen Research & Development.
The brain is an amazing organ. Across the animal kingdom the brain directs behavior and supports perceiving and reacting to the environment. As humans evolved, the brain acquired the capacity for advanced language, highly adaptive social behavior, and abstract thinking including our sense of self. These are the very attributes most vulnerable to loss when people experience diseases like Alzheimer’s.
Mark will present a short talk on how researchers understand this disease, how it is detected with brain imaging, and present a few of the advances in the development of treatments for this devastating illness.
The meeting will take place in the hotel Protected content
Thank you to confirm your attendance.
We look forward to seeing you.
