Musée des Beaux Arts and sketching in the garden

Join me in visiting "Voyage dans les collections du musée des Beaux-Arts."
The museum is highlighting works from its vast collection which we only ever see a fraction of. From the earlier period (13th to 18th centuries), some paintings are displayed showing the evolution of the representation of the Virgin Mary. There are also a selection of sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries that focus on how drapery was used as a symbol or for a decorative effect. There are also some 20th century works to see by Pierre Bonnard, Charles Camoin, Marie Laurencin and Raoul Dufy that give an insight into Modernity in the arts.
It's a nice little exhibition. For those with a Nice museum card, entry is free.
The weather forecast for Sunday promises to be sunny, so if you are interested in sketching, I will also be joining some Urban Sketchers from Nice and from Liguria who will be sketching for most of the day in the beautiful garden behind the gallery (free entry to the garden).
