Sculpture Walk & Jazz Jam at Le Royal — Friday 23 October

Luxembourg Art Week has started dressing the city centre ahead of November's fair: large sculptures along the Art Walk trail and "Capsules" — art installations in empty shop windows, lit up day and night. We'll take a relaxed early-evening stroll past as many as we can, then finish at the Royal Lounge of Hôtel Le Royal, which for one night only turns itself into a jazz club.

The evening opens with a trio led by Luxembourg pianist Murat Öztürk (with Jean-Marc Robin on drums and Mathieu Loigerot on double bass), followed by an open jam session. If you play or sing, bring your instrument or your nerve — the stage is open. If you don't, it's a very good excuse for a drink and some live jazz in an elegant room.

**The plan**
- 18:00 — meet at Place d'Armes (by the bandstand)
- 18:00–19:30 — Art Walk loop through the old town, Capsules first while the streets are lit
- 19:45 — arrive at the Royal Lounge, grab a table
- 20:00 — music starts

**Good to know**
- Entry to both the Art Walk and the jazz night is free; drinks and finger food at the lounge are at your own expense
- Smart casual suits the venue
- No need to walk — if you'd rather just come for the music, join us at Hôtel Le Royal, 12 Boulevard Royal, from 19:45
- Everything is language-neutral: art and music, no need to speak anything but "hello"
