Queen Budapest Concert Documentary Film
This is not a film per se; it is the documentary of a concert given in Budapest.
I propose to meet at 22:10 at the Lizarran, located very close to the cinema. I'll be coming from a trip; therefore, I'll join you either there or directly at the cinema entrance.
On 27 July Protected content , Queen played the biggest stadium concert in history at the Népstadion in Budapest, in front of 80,000 ecstatic fans. The concert was part of the famous Magic Tour, which marked the last time the band toured with lead singer Freddie Mercury. Now, this original concert film has been spectacularly rescanned and remastered in 4K, alongside a new, dynamic audio mix featuring many of Queen’s favourite songs: ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’, ‘I Want To Break Free’ and ‘We Are The Champions’. Three years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, this was the first Western rock concert to be held in a stadium behind what was then known as the Iron Curtain. It was so important to the Hungarian authorities and the film industry that a team of the country’s finest cameramen and technicians was assembled to film it and preserve it as a memento for the future.
