BONNARD INTIME Les Toilettes De Marthe ☆ Guided Tour!

The Musée Bonnard is offering one last guided tour on Sunday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m., inviting visitors to explore Bonnard’s gaze upon Marthe, the play of light, and the quiet moments of everyday life.

The museum’s guide will explore the theme of intimacy via the tender scenes of Marthe at her toilette as seen by Bonnard, as well as the unique world of the painter’s studio.

Paintings, drawings, & works on paper reveal the delicacy with which Bonnard observed daily gestures, the presence of the human form, and the subtle interplay of light & color.

As a special highlight, the exhibition features *L’Atelier au mimosa* (“The Studio with Mimosa”), on loan from the Centre Pompidou—Musée National d’Art Moderne. This work sheds light on the painter’s studio as a space of both creation and memory, situated on the threshold between interior space & landscape. Bridging interior scenes & landscapes, light & memory, the exhibition underscores the artist’s exploration of perception & the transformation of reality into a pictorial experience—A journey into the heart of the most lyrical & contemplative aspect of his work.
