🥾 Parque Bicentenario Hike

Explore the old airport grounds of Quito. Our free hikes end permanently on November 22, so come enjoy the fun while it lasts! 🎉

📍 Meet at the southern end of the park, Bulevar Bicentenario
⛰️ Beginner level, 1.5 to 2 hours one way (with photo ops)

✈️ Fun facts:
- Quito's airport from Protected content its last flight on Feb 19, Protected content
- The name honors Protected content since the First Cry of Independence
- Earth from the Metro excavation was used to shape the hills in the north

☀️ Lots of asphalt and young, short trees mean little shade, so if it's sunny it will be hot. Dress accordingly. 🌧️ Bring rain gear, just in case.

🚗 Getting there: Metro to Estación El Labrador or any bus to the southern end of the park.

🚪 Exit options: Walk back south through the park to the Metro and many bus lines, or exit at the northern end if you prefer not to walk back or feel unsure about the neighborhood and transport there. I will exit north.
