Something Different

March is upon us, a month of holidays around the world, 6th – 7th March Holi, India festival of colors, 8th March – International Women’s Day, 15th of March - Ides of March, middle of March and the day Julius Caesar was assassinated, 17th March – St. Patrick’s Day – Patron Saint of Ireland, 21st March – World Poetry Day – maybe recite your favorite poem. On the day of our get together 14th March we recognize Pi Day, a play on the day and mathematical equation 3.14.
Let's get together to celebrate all these days on Saturday 14 March. Wear green to celebrate St.Patrick, bring your favorite poem, tell us how your 8th of March was celebrated, and think of some good math jokes (yes there are some). Time once again to enjoy old friends and make new friends. So, join us at Corkscrew Shop and Bar, in the back room where you will get a welcome drink, the opportunity to learn / play some darts, if there is interest a Quiz (we’ll break into teams) and possible other surprises.
There will be some food supplied, but Corkscrew doesn’t have a menu but allows delivery if anyone wants to order. We will have the room/bar to ourselves so we can crank the music up if we want or keep it as background music to ensure good conversation.
20th of March is also the first day of Spring, we can celebrate this along with all the other reasons, the most important is getting together with other interesting people.
Kara (our newest Ambassador) and I will do our best to ensure an enjoyable evening.
