Polish Nature Mindfully: the Beavers of Mewia Łacha
Hi Internations friends,
Castor fiber – euroasian beaver, the biggest rodent in Poland. If you would like to learn more about these fascinating animals, you are welcome to join this nature walk in Mewia Łacha, a reserve which offers an amazing variety of observations, depending on the season. During the walk along the estuary of Vistula, we will have a chance of seeing beavers and traces of their presence in the area.
You will also learn:
- how beaver's body has adjusted to living in the water
- what is beavers' tail like and why
- what peculiar habits beavers have
- how beavers build their dames
- what are beavers homes like
- why beavers chop so many trees
- how beavers affect the environment
and much more 🙂
What do you need?
- clothes in “earth” (olive green, dark green, brown, black nad navy blue are also ok)
- comfy shoes and clothes suitable for the weather
- binoculars will come in handy, if you own them
- if you like to take photos, take your camera with you (telelens recommended)
