A Doll's House/Une Maison De Poupeé
I run Compagnie Clapotis with my wife, Emily, and we’re debuting our new adaptation of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House in Bordeaux this December. The show will run in both English and French and will be performed by a bilingual cast of four at the Halles des Chartrons.
Emily and I are both internationals who’ve been making theatre (and life!) in France for the past ten years. We recently moved to Bordeaux and are excited to bring some English-speaking theatre to the city and help bring the international community here together. This show is our first step!
Tickets are on sale now, and we go into rehearsal this week, so you can expect lots of updates on our social media @compagnieclapotis.
We are a non-profit organisation (known in France as an association) and in posting here we wish to emphasis that we want to reach a broad international community with our work, not simply make money. Any profit from ticket sales will go to supporting future work.
We’d love to see as many of you there as possible!
