Lingotto and Its Area: Turin's Contemporary Revolution
The Lingotto is the protagonist building of the industrial history of Turin.
Built in Protected content house the second Fiat factory, it was admired by many architects including the famous Le Corbusier. Some of the car models that symbolize the company's history were produced inside, including the famous "Balilla". Decommissioned in the Protected content , it was recovered thanks to the conversion project by the famous architect Renzo Piano.
In this tour we will discover the large complex by walking outside along its regular façade to immerse ourselves inside where we will see the famous ramp that leads to the roof of the building, the ancient vehicle test track now a spectacular hanging garden, the long corridors now occupied by shops, cinemas and offices until you reach the modern pedestrian walkway that allows you to walk under the gigantic Olympic Arch of Protected content . Please bring with you your Museum Card, if you have it.
We will end the former Carpano production building, now home to the Eataly high-quality food shopping center where, after the tour, we could stop for dinner.
