Istanbul Modern Art Gallery Sketch Fest
Through our sketchbooks, we will discover the delights within and around this modern icon on the banks of the Bosphorous, designed by Renzo Piano, architect of the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Shard in London. First, we will take on the 15:30 challenge: 15 drawings in 30 minutes—a fun way to warm up our sketching muscles. Then, we will have a more leisurely drawing session on the museum rooftop, weather permitting, with views of Galata, Sultanahmet, Karaköy and more. Just pack a sketchbook, your favourite pencils—no pens or wet materials in the museum unfortunately—and your sketching skates! As always, all skill levels welcome.
