Ebru is a form of paper marbling art.
It is a traditional art form that originated in Turkestan and has ancient roots; its name is derived from the Chagatai Turkic word "ebre" (linked to the Persian word for "cloud") and was coined by early masters through the combination of the words *ab* (water) and *rû* (face).

The art of *ebru* is a traditional form of painting in which patterns created with special paints on water thickened with *kitre* (a substance of plant origin) are transferred onto paper. This unique and traditional Turkish art relies on the interaction between water and the permanence of the colors.

We are excited to welcome you to this event, where you will learn about the significance of the art of Ebru and have the opportunity to try it out for yourself.

The event is intended solely for foreign students living in Turkey or foreign visitors.
