Istanbul Art Nouveau Heaven
Let's explore some of Istanbul’s iconic art nouveau buildings on this tour and sketchwalk. They are all in İstiklal Caddesi, the heart of Grand Pera.
Itinerary:
Casa Botter, Istanbul’s first art nouveau building, designed for the sultan’s tailor. The first floor is now a library (drawing stopover No. 1).
Hışım han, luxury retail and apartments.
Ravouna han, high-end antique and jewelry boutique.
Badouvy han, commercial premises and apartments, now the home of the RHM art gallery.
Misir apartment, grand winter residence of an Egyptian prince. Now houses an art gallery, museum and café (drawing stopover No. 2).
Just bring a sketchbook and a few drawing materials. This event is for all skill levels. As always, beginners or those who have had a long break from drawing are especially welcome.
