Based on Marguerite Yourcenar’s celebrated novel, Memorias de Adriano is an intimate and powerful monologue in which the Roman Emperor Hadrian reflects on power, love, art, war and mortality. Through memory and confession, the play immerses us in the inner world of a ruler confronting the end of his life — a deeply human meditation that resonates strikingly with our present time.
