Pride Month Irish Documentary & Hotel Photo Exhibition

A fun combination of Pride-themed events as the city heads into the final weekend of Pride month.
First, Orion Cinema (in Kamppi) will host a free screening of the documentary The 34th Protected content , which tells the story of the grassroots movement in Ireland to battle for the right for same-sex couples to get married. This rather short documentary Protected content in length) will deliver the extra bonus of a Q&A session afterwards featuring the filmmakers themselves, Linda Cullen and Vanessa Gildea.

Then, as a place to go reflect on the film a bit and have some chance to chat, we will head to the bar/restaurant of the hotel known as Hobo Helsinki (downtown, under 15 minutes' walk or a three-minute walk+7-minute tram ride from the cinema) for their photography exhibition that features photographs of queer Karelians by doctoral researcher and authorized sexuality advisor Ani Iivanainen.
