As the last yellow leaves fall, a pleasant Thursday awaits to enjoy some contemporary Finnish artwork with a group of other InterNations art lovers.

Come join us for a tour of three top-notch galleries in the heart of the neighborhoods of Kamppi, Hietalahti and Punavuori.

While most of Helsinki's private art spaces are closed for the day this late in the afternoon, our three selected galleries will be hosting the opening night of the exhibitions of:

Jade Kallio (documentary photographer)
Petri Eskelinen (sculptor)
Jarno Parkkima (video artist)

What this will offer us in each case is a chance to meet and chat with the artists who created the work hanging on the walls. This is a fun way to see local art as it offers the opportunity to learn something extra about the artists if you like, as well as see these artists' latest creations with the public before anyone else.

We'll meet at 17.15 in Kolmikulma/Triangle Park beside the small sculpture of an athlete tossing a spear. To find us via GPS, you can run a search for Villisilkki, a fabric store located at Yrjönkatu 12, which is right across the street.

For those coming by tram, the Kolmikulma tram stop can be reached via tram 10.

As it is getting steadily colder and darker earlier, we may take a tram for the two longest walks of this route. Walking the whole way, it would entail more than 2,000 meters of walking.

If we find ourselves interested afterwards, we can pick out a place for a drink, a light snack or a meal.
