Helsinki Gallery Walk - Take a Tour of Opening Nights
Another pleasant Thursday awaits to enjoy some contemporary Finnish artwork with a group of other InterNations art lovers.
Come join us for a tour of five top-notch galleries in the heart of the neighborhoods of Hietalahti, Kamppi and Punavuori. While most of Helsinki's galleries close down near this time in the afternoon, our five selected galleries will be hosting the opening night of the exhibitions of, among others,
Santeri Tuori (abstract painter)
Camilla Vuorenmaa (sculptor)
Tian Yang (photographer and installation artist)
Tanja Koljonen (figurative painter)
What this will offer us in each case is a chance to meet and chat with the curators of each exhibition as well as the artists who created the work hanging on the walls. This is a fun way to see local art as it offers the opportunity to learn something extra about the artists if you like, as well as see these artists' latest creations with the public before anyone else.
We'll meet outside of Töölön Apteekki in Sähkötalo in Kamppi (near Lidl).
The tour of the five galleries will entail a total of under two kilometers of walking. We will reach the last one by 18.40.
If we find ourselves interested afterwards, we can pick out a place for a meal, a light snack or a drink.
