Let's join the World Music Wednesday at Old Town School of Folk Music featuring Robert Figueroa with Angel Rodriguez's Humboldt Park Orchestra!

The concert will start at 7:30 PM. We will meet between 7:00 and 7:20 pm inside the venue. It is free with a $10 suggested donation.

Robert Figueroa is a salsa singer/songwriter steeped in the tradition of the great Soneros of the '60s and '70s. Raised in Puerto Rico and residing in the Milwaukee area, Robert is known to the Chicago salseros through his long-time work with Naborí, the Humboldt Park Orchestra, and Septeto Charambó.

Humboldt Park Orchestra was founded by Chicago trumpeter Angel Rodriguez, who created the band in December of Protected content the request of Chicago DJ Promoter Angelo Prieto. The initial thought was to create a band of all the top bandleaders/musicians in the Chicagoland salsa scene. Since that time, Humboldt Park Orchestra has performed countless Tributes to salsa legends, featuring the best talent in Chicagoland salsa and backed up both up and coming artists as well as legendary salsa icons. The group performs at salsa clubs, private parties, as well as larger festivals and Salsa Congress events.
