Concert Hopping: Sheryl Youngblood, Soul Rebels & Sylvia Lopez!
Join us for a concert-hopping evening featuring three concerts at two venues with outstanding musicians performing blues, New Orleans brass, and Latin music.
We will begin at the Square Roots Festival (South Stage), where Sheryl Youngblood will perform Chicago Blues at 6:45 pm, followed by The Soul Rebels, the acclaimed New Orleans brass band, at 8:15 pm.
Afterward, we'll head to Protected content or a Latin music concert featuring Sylvia López (vocals) and Manasés Rivera (piano). The concert begins at 10:00 pm, and we plan to arrive by 9:45 pm. The drive from the festival takes about 20 minutes.
Feel free to join us for the entire evening or just one of the two venues.
About the artists:
Sheryl Youngblood is a Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Delmark Recording Artist, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and Grammy Award winner with The Thompson Community Singers of Chicago.
The Soul Rebels are an eight-piece New Orleans brass band known for blending traditional brass music with funk, soul, jazz, rock, and hip-hop.
Sylvia López is a Chicago vocalist and cultural leader with over 25 years of experience, specializing in salsa, boleros, and tropical music.
Manasés Rivera is a Chicago pianist recognized for his performances in Latin jazz, salsa, and bolero.
