Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida, is an 83-acre botanical garden, museum, and conservation center known for its extensive collections of tropical plants, including rare palms,
orchids, and flowering trees. It features unique exhibits like the "Wings of the Tropics" butterfly house, a rainforest with mist machines, and various themed gardens, offering educational programs, events, and amenities like the Glasshouse Café.
There’s even a secret mini garden with mini homes to explore!!!
There will also be a Jazz concert at 7:00pm
Cuban trombonist Julio Montalvo plays what he describes as New Latin Jazz: the rhythms of Son, Mambo, and Timba folded into modern jazz, funk, and soul. The trombone carries the melody; the percussion carries the night.
It's celebratory music, made for dancing.
At Fairchild, Julio Montalvo and his band play it outdoors, in the Garden. Close enough to hear the breath in the horn, the strike of the drum, the call and response between players. There is a separate fee for the Jazz concert of $35.95 per person if interested in staying and you have the option of bringing lawn chairs and blankets to sit in the area.
