Art Talk and Wine at the Library (free)

This talk with be held at the Protected content which could easily be coming out of one of Harry Potter's books. Come to experience the ambiance, an excellent art talk, and a complimentary glass of wine.
The talk by Dr. Mark Sagona will highlight the recently-identified extraordinary works in Maltese collections coming from the immediate circle of the great Gothic Revival architect and designer A.W.N. Pugin ( Protected content ), produced by his significant collaborator John Hardman ( Protected content ) of Birmingham. The discussion will place the works – the only authentic Gothic Revival artifacts on the island – within their own immediate context and also within the scenario of the gradual appearance of Gothic Revival currents on the Decorative Arts in nineteenth-century Malta
Dr. Mark Sagona is a visual artist, art historian, curator, and lecturer. He is a Resident Academic in Decorative Arts in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta.
At the end of the talk, we chat over a glass of wine (free) at the entrance of this majestic library.
