Idyllic Ride through Wineyards

According to weather forecast it is going to be cold and rainy this Saturday. That's why I suggest, we postpone our event to the Sunday, 5 th of October with 20 degrees and sun.

Nostalgic adventure train does not bear this name without reason. Over 40 kilometres, the train leisurely commutes between the sun-drenched vineyards of Retz and the quiet forests and ponds of the Waldviertel. Sometimes far away from roads and settlements, the route leads over hilly country and through river valleys, small-scale fields and extensive forests. A pleasant break from everyday life is guaranteed here.

With the Reblaus Express you can explore some of the most beautiful places in Lower Austria.The train set of the Reblaus Express is made up of nostalgic, dark green wagons with open platforms, pulled by a diesel locomotive . Another highlight is the wine tavern wagon, which is also included. There you will be offered regional delicacies, refreshing drinks and excellent wines from local winegrowers.

I suggest to take a train at 8:11 from Floridsdorf, we arrive in Retz at 9:12 and then we take Reblaus Express at 9:30.
Day ticket costs 23 euro. If you have a NÖ card, then it’s free. With Klimaticket it's cheaper.
